What would you do with $10,000 dollars?
Our first week of class was dedicated to getting to know our classmates through icebreakers and team building activities. We also got to visit Goodwill for a behind the scenes tour!
On our first day of class, we did two icebreakers to get to know each other. The first activity consisted of us choosing between different types of candy and answering questions related to them. One candy bar, the payday bar, asked "what would you do with $10,000 dollars?"
For our first official activity to improve our team building skills, we set out on a scavenger hunt on a search for 25 different items (that we were required to photograph) throughout our workshop, medical unit, and administrative offices. We found everything on the list except one, but we got the bonus by finding Shannon working at her desk!
On the second day of class we went on a tour to Goodwill and got to talk to several employees there who have worked there for more than 30 years! They taught us about what they do and how they are supervised. Afterwards, we went to lunch at the Falcon Grille and talked about our career interests.
